Im currently designing a mural design for Pheonix, a new Lebanese restaurant opening in Temple Terrace in the Tampa Bay area. Upon trying to get a realistic idea of how our concepts would work in their remodeled space. I wanted to present the ideas in a way that reflected a finished look. I listened to the changes they planned on making, I also added a few ideas of my own, and with the help of Photoshop's generative tool, I had a ton of fun decorating and playing with their new AI features.
CONCEPT 1
The owners expressed how a Pheonix represented the city of Beirut in Lebanon. The city was torn down and rebuilt several times. I thought of the concept to represent a golden city on the wings of a Phoenix to tie in the meaning of the phoenix and the city of Beirut.
Concept 2
The owners brought the image above as the original request for the mural. After some consideration, they decided that they wanted an image without people and wanted to incorporate an image of a phoenix on the wall as mural art.
This is the image I created using Photoshop to reenvision, the original concept but with a phoenix on the wall. I also added a few elements like the bike and an extra window to give the image some balance.

This is the current chosen mockup that we are building on. The idea is to add larger and more recognizable landmarks of Beruit into the mural.

Update 02/24/25
It's been a few months but we finally decided on a concept for the mural. It's a collage of historic landmarks in Beirut. Below you can find me working on the mural. I am about 90% complete. It's been a journey but I'm proud of the progress made thus far.
